Charles Holloway

Holloway was the organizer and first Chief Engineer of the Baltimore City Fire Department. He was hired to organize the Fire Insurance Salvage Corps of Baltimore and also served as Commissioner of the Baltimore County Fire Department. He built Holloway chemical engines and ladder wagons until his death in 1898, when his company was sold to the American Fire Engine Company.
