The National Fire Heritage Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Wells to the Board of Directors of the National Fire Heritage Center.
Linda Wells is the Manager of the Research Library and Archives at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). She launched the NFPA Digital Archive to provide direct access to the full text of NFPA journals, newsletters, reports, and more. The archives also feature prominently in the NFPA 125th Celebration art installation.
Before NFPA, Ms. Wells worked in knowledge management and enterprise search for Ropes & Gray LLP, one of the top law firms in the world. Most of her career has been spent in biomedical research, including seven years was as Manager of the Global Library for Genzyme, a multi-national biotechnology company.
Along with a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons University, Ms. Wells has an undergraduate degree in communications/media, is a licensed teacher, and completed a certificate in client/server technology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Ms. Wells is looking forward to bringing her 30 years in research and information management experience to NFHC and is grateful for the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the rich history and ongoing concerns of the first responder community.
